Sage Valley Senior Living Vision Unveiled
Sage Vally Senior Living, nestled in the historic town of Pflugerville, Texas, opened with excitement and grand style this past spring. Pi Architects attended the event to witness the *development team’s hard work and diligence.“We worked to tie it (the building) into the history of Texas and wove some fun and joyful memories and stories into the building,” exclaimed Mark Warrick, AIA, vice president of Pi. The large lobby, drenched with natural light, welcomed the enthusiastic guests. “It is tremendously satisfying to attend the grand opening of a property we have poured so much creativity, energy, and time into, and that was certainly true for Sage Valley Senior Living,” said Mark Warrick. The research and attentiveness to detail did not end with the building design; the detailed interior exceeded expectations. Ellen Collins, interior designer at Pi, noted, “The artwork we selected is incredibly unique to this project and the region. We designed corridors with themes, such as Texas wildflowers, downtown, and farm/pastures, and each has its art. She added, “The most popular piece was a painting of a longhorn bull in a lounge chair. It is so fun and eye-catching, and everyone loved it.”
Sage Valley Senior Living community encompasses 74,637 square feet of independent living, assisted living, and memory with an efficient layout. The residents can enjoy the outdoors and view the sunset at the pavilion or grill with neighbors on a sunny afternoon. “The crowd reaction to various features exceeded our expectations,” stated Warrick. This community also includes a gorgeous salon, fitness center, library, theater, private dining room, café/bistro, community lounge spaces, sunrooms, and a wonderful dog park.
Sage Valley Senior Living offers sixty-six units of independent / assisted living and twenty-four memory care units in the community. A beautiful fountain in the outdoor courtyard of the memory care unit is of special interest. “The soothing sounds and bucolic setting are a comforting feature that appeals to everyone,” said Warrick, adding, “There was a great deal of excitement in the air.”
